Some say ''it is a good city'' many agree ''its the best''; even WE belong to the MANY category. Our city welcomes everyone with an open heart. People from NORTH, EAST, WEST & SOUTH are found here. They come here to study, earn their bread, get settled etc., free of cost. One can see how beautifully the city is divided according to different culture like Muslims mostly occupy Egmore, Parrys area; then North Indians occupy the Sowcarpet region; then Mylapore, Triplicane has majority of the Brahmins and so on. Its not about the differences, its all about how people get themselves adapted to the city inspite of differences and make their surrounding ''FEEL LIKE HOME''. Wherever you are from, you will surely find a place where you fit exactly. One can never feel home sick in Chennai. All you need is a proper guide to get along with the city and know the inner beauty. You are spiritual, we have many historical temples, churches, mosques to bring luck and keep the city blessed. You are wild, and a party animal, we have restaurants, pubs, discos etc 24*7. You are in upper class, we have Nilgiris and Levi's here; you are lower class or middle class, we have Koyambedu market and T.nagar here.
Now in the recent times we have all heard many songs about Chennai be the Chennai city gansta or Enga ooru Madras'u and many more, every song is dedicated to the unique emotion of the city. With the vast expanse of Marina and Besant nagar beach, with the never empty T.nagar roads and shops, with a cold morning and hot night, with 1 million sq feet Mall (Phoenix Market city) to one of the oldest mall in India built during British raj (Spencer Plaza), with many Auditorium's, Play grounds, Clubs, Marriage halls, Theatre's, Parks etc our city is always busy, active and enthusiastic. Not to forget the BPO's which are adding glory to our city and helping the residents choose their career. Whatever the business might be, well you will somehow survive in Chennai and earn a livelihood; that is the charm of our city. One might come with a doubt in the beginning, but everyone will return back only with good memories, a big smile and feel "I WISH I WAS BORN HERE".
Our city deserves to be the capital of Tamil Nadu and also everyone's first choice. No matter how hard we get destroyed by natural disasters "WE RISE AGAIN STRONGLY''. That gives courage to its residents and welcomes new residents too. Our common dialogue will be ''How can I help you'', which is also our motto (Lend hands to others and help the needy).
One might complain about the lack of cleanliness, poor government rule, mosquitoes, traffic, corruption, pollution and much more, whatever the problem might be we keep moving forward and cope up with the changes. We blame, we regret but at the end all we do is feel PROUD and feel SECURE as in the womb of a mother. Its not now or later, its always forever that we love our city.
